The Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPaed) course is designed to equip those who work in the Early Years sector with essential life-saving skills.
This course will ensure that you are equipped to respond effectively to emergencies in the setting.
The Emergency Paediatric course is an OfSted approved course with a couple of extra areas to ensure recognition by the HSE.

Other topics based on the requirements of the delegates which can include diabetes, epilepsy, anaphylaxis, small cuts and grazes, splinters, burns and scalds, broken bones, nosebleeds, head bumps, bites and stings along with other areas requested by the groups on the day Course content will be tailored to the requirements of the group.
The course will be delivered by experienced Trainers with practical hands-on experience of delivering care in front line emergency situations. Teaching methods vary to take account of differing learning styles and include group work, discussion, video and practical exercises.
This course is assessed via the Trainer carrying out practical assessments during the course and a multiple-choice paper at the end of the course.
On successful completion the delegate will receive an FAIB regulated EFAW certificate recognised by the HSE, OfStead and the Care Inspectorate.
The certificate is valid for 3 years.
The EFAW course has a required contact time of 6 hours plus a break am and pm with 30 mins lunch. Normally we deliver 9 to 4 Sat and Sun but, due to staffing and ratios, can also deliver weekdays or as two twilight/evening sessions of 3 hours.
